- I guess I must've been listening to a different station when I heard first about North Korea's nukes and Iran's weapons program during the Bush administration's tenure. Most of what's going on internationally now began before Obama even came onto the scene.

- It seems to me this is the wrong question. I don't believe the US is losing influence in general but possibly specific types of influence that have been sustained in the past by militarism, colonialism, economic bullying and the "Big Stick" mentality.
